Ha Ha no still on the South Coast Ray. As we had so much traffic last year getting to the Holiday Inn from the South Coast on the Friday we thought it would be a good idea to travel from the North this time.

Just found this on the BMW Car Club forum. Lets hope the parade lap goes ahead this year!

Silverstone Classic 2014 Parade Lap Information -

For those of you that are interested in taking part in the Parade Lap we are helping the club again this year. We will be in the BMW Car Club Stand administering the wristbands.
You have to register and sign a waiver before you go on the track, and all drivers and passengers have to wear a wristband.
You can either register with us at the show or contact us on 01635 874646, we will take the information from you over the phone and have your wristband ready for collection at the show. This should reduce the wait times for wristbands.

Thanks for that info Gary. I have rung that number and gave them info about me, Gail , and the car and they said our wristbands will be available on the day at the BMW stand. What's the betting I will still have to fill a form in on the day. The person I spoke to was from A plan insurance, Hmmm.

Yes it's A-Plan insurance. They were at the circuit last year taking the details.

If you have bought the infield display tickets then you are eligible for the lap.

I understand that the tickets have started to be sent out, so not long to go now!!. And so we are there nice and early for the Friday i just booked the Hotel for the Thursday night as well.

We're staying Thursday night too. First outing for my coupe and first meeting without my roadie. Looking forward to catching up with you all. It'll be interesting to see how the Silverstone team have reacted to our feedback to last years event (lack of space, reneging on allowing us to feed in to our area in small groups etc). Let's hope the weather stays fine for us.

I cancelled the Thursday now because i thought we would be there on our own!! Going to leave early now on the Friday and go straight to Silverstone. Saves me £79. more
