Evening all. Slim here, situated in the delightful costa del Morecambe Bay. 😁

Just acquired arctic silver Z3 1.9, 1999 on a "T" plate and....i love it! (Oh dear...its going to get spendy isn t it!)

It is, of course, not without its issues which I'm hoping to learn more about through the forums. I have already used large amounts of your knowledge in buying the Z.

I'll post pics as and when I need assistance, information and advice. All of which will be required on a fairly regular basis I'm sure.

"Keep it brief lad, ive not got that much time left!" is what grandad used to say.
So...I suppose thats it for now. 😁

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Much appreciated. Less than 24hrs in and already you lot are giving me tips and helpful places to look for parts! That's just brilliant!....and exactly what I was hoping would happen.

This is going to be a lot of fun I think! 😁

Photos of the Zed coming later today so once they're up....let me know your thoughts and ideas. Just bear in mind... .it was very, very cheap! ;)

Need to get it/him/her up in the air to have a proper good poke about.
Engine bay states build date of Dec 1998.
I'll get those outer sills off in the next week or so to see what we've got going on there. There is some crusties in the ends of the panels, so I'm expecting some more underneath them. I imagine that will determine where we go from there. I don't mind chucking a few quid at it seeing as it doesn't owe me much as it stands.
Assuming I can get the sill work taken care of reasonably, and theres nothing too scary with brake lines, ill get it MOT ready, then we're looking at oils & filters, thermostat, water pump, coolant flush n fill. I've already bought a reconditioned disa, bosch coil pack and ht leads in anticipation that all will be do-able with the inner sills. 🤞
