Seeing it’s my first time out with the ZRoadster group I thought I’d better be present and correct..

So I’ve reinstalled V13+ ‘spicy tune’ via MHD ..should give around 550 BHP fatter than the cooking version at 5w5..

I’ve reflashed the DCT box with xHP v 3 that gives faster gear changes , around 60ms at the expense of smoothness.

I’ve increaed damping on the Ohlins shocks from 10 to 8 on the back and 10 to 9 on front.

I’m carrying a space saver so I think I’ll put one or two turns on the Ohlins rear pre load.

I’ll swap one the 437Ms for my Aoex Arc 8s with brand new Conti Sports Contact 7s..the other tyres are a bit worn after last weekend.

I had hoped that my low cost big brake kit with 370mm 30mm discs and copies of BMW F series 4 piston calipers would have arrived for this weekend but Autodoc seem slow.

I’m experimenting with using a loud wind noise played through the speakers in the garage to better set the Audiotec Fischer Match 10 DSP /amp to better able play music with the roof down and still get a good level of equalisation across both woofers and tweeters.

Im running a bit of LiquId Moly engine cleaner to try and keep the piston crown carbon as I use a more aggressive tune.

Apart from that it should be good to go..👌
Sounds impressive.
My prep has involved a wash and wax lol.
Im bringing the mrs who doesn’t like speed so I will be pottering along. Seems it may be damp anyways and my car is lethal on damp roads.

I *might* be letting the side down...
The M Coupe failed it's MOT last week on brake imbalance - been in the garage today and they think the OSF caliper needs replacing.
One on order and they *hope* it will turn up tomorrow and *hope* it will be the right one!

I have booked the retest for Thursday afternoon in the *hope* that it's all ready by then...

If the ducks line up - I'll see you all in the Coupe on Friday evening.
If not, I'll be in a Honda CR-Z and lurking at the back of the group! Or my copilot Graham is bringing his wife's SLK so we will have the option of bringing a 2 seater German Soft-top so as not to look tooooo out of place!

But keep everything crossed that the Estoril Blue clownshoe makes it!

Don't worry about it.

I may be in a Range Rover or a Smart car.

My car has a grating noise coming from the rear. I stripped the handbrake and had to buy a new spring, as it was distorted. The noise is still there. so I think it's a brake backplate. It's raining now, and it looks like rain will stop play, as I have my tracking booked in for tomorrow, and Thursday looks like being wet again.

If I'm lucky, the guy doing the tracking will see what's wrong , and can sort it, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Hi everyone well its finally upon us the first calendar event of the 2024 season
For everyone travelling tomorrow safe journey still some sketchy weather around looking forward to meeting , catching up with you all .

Once north of the border off the main roads keep eyes peeled for potholes.
If veen glancing at the weather this week you will see still struggling to shake off winter so pothole repair season hasn't gone into full swing.

At hotel
Some sat nav show wrindmg road ( track you cant drive down) turn in at the red cottage.

Remember speed humps on road up to hotel .
Carpark is on left before main building but you can drive up as it is a drop off point right outside ( you just cannot park there)
In the carpark do NOT park under any trees. ( you have been ⚠ warned ⚠)

Remember to fuel in Dumfries before last couple of miles to hotel.

Dinner tomorrow night is 7.30.

I have made a write up thread for anyone who wants to document their travels.

First spring run we have missed in a while. Impending grandson on the way and if he doesn't make an appearance by the 15th he is being forced out. Shame we cant share our new Z4 but it is what it is. All of you enjoy a great run, a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing you all in the autumn

Have a great time everyone, it's a shame we can't make this one. I'll keep my fingers crossed for dry weather for you:thumbsup:
