Actually pretty impressed Bill:thumbsup:. We did have quite a bit of traffic today but when we did get chance to open her up she certainly held her own. Turns in very well and the power delivery is really smooth with lots of grunt. I'm not used to having so many horses under the bonnet:) If there is a problem it's with the ride:(. I'm used to sport suspension on the 3, but the 4 on sports suspension seems to be harder still, especially on some of our less than perfect B and even some A roads. In fact I think I lost some fillings today. It may be the run-flats so I'll take up Zedcarer's idea of swapping the 3's wheels and tyres to the 4 to see what it's like on ordinary tyres. That will be an interesting mornings work, won't be doing it for a bit need to get more used to the 4 first. I'll let you know
Dave

We think the Z4 is a lot smoother ride than the 3 we had so maybe it is down to the run flats.

You can tell the difference when its on. Acceleration is a lot quicker. Do not notice any difference on the suspension side though

According to the book it sharpens up the steering and throttle response. Can't see it altering the suspension though.

Dont alter the suspension. Just the steering and throttle response. On the twisty bits is where it comes into its own in sport mode .even better if u knock in to the manual mode.

When we got to clumber this afternoon the guy on the gate who took our money asked what we were doing turning up in 'this pile of rubbish!' Then smiled and pointed at his Zed parked up next to the gatehouse! :D
