Inspired by comments in another thread, give us a list of what you've owned before... Everyone else seems to have a more exciting selection than me.

My list is pretty poor, a collection of mediocrity until I got divorced and had enough money to start buying decent cars.

Some of these won't make a lot of sense to our overseas visitors, but I'd still love to hear what you've all had no matter where you are.

1966 SWB Land Rover (all ways had a hammer with me to hit the starter motor with)

1982 Suzuki Jeep SJ40 (gear box fell off. But I did once pull a Range Rover out of trouble that was stuck on the beach) I had big sand tires.

Stopped playing off road games.

Mercedes 190E
Mercedes CE220 C124 Coupe Mk II (this car was fully loaded metallic black with 19 inch alloys, the wife hated it, said I looked like a gigolo driving it, I loved it. The company I worked for would not let me visit customers with it)
Mercedes C200D (the most under powered car I have ever driven. It was a larger heavy version of the 190D but with the same engine)
BMW 318i x 2
BMW 316i (one of the wife's cars, I won't go into the rest)
Mercedes-Benz A 190 Avantgarde (this was for the wife. I was working abroad, thank god)
Smart fortwo city coupe (as a run around when I was back home from work. Great fun in the snow due to very SWB. I blew the engine, turbo, every thing. New engine cost me Euro 2.300)
Mercedes C220 Avantgarde fully loaded metallic diamond black (wife loved it, I found it boring and her too, so we got a divorce and I got rid of the Merc and bought the Z3)

Can't be bothered to mention the company crap cars I have had.

Lada's were bad, but the thing they sold alongside were bloody awful. Any one remember TATA? These were the cream of the crap. I know I worked on them! Circa 1997. Now there's a story.

Unfortunately you're dead right Mike, but they had the spare cash at the time. They also own Corus steel at Scunthorpe , Lincs. Plus others. But even though they run a team in the Euro touring Cars they are still crap. Didn't Prince Phillip once say something looked like it had been wired by an Indian ?

At my age the list is just tooooo long! I have about thirty sitting on my driveway and back property right now from 1928- 2013. Some run some projects several European, several M-B, Volvo, tr7, Porsche 924, Austin mini and lots of American/ Canadian. Wouldn't even try to list all even though I'm sure I can remember 90% and would number well over 125. JIM

Vauxhall Chevette , and Ford Escort in the back ground., the chevette got scrapped the Escort
got sold then got used in a bank robbery and i then got a visit from plod..

Next was a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 EXP

VW Golf C this car was quite new and mint, very boring , sold to sister

Toyota Corolla 1.6 16v Loved this car, sold it to get cash for wedding

BMW 316 2 door E30 full M kit G reg ( no photo )

BMW 318i E 36 saloon H reg ( no Photo )

BMW 318i E46 se saloon

Volvo S40 se lux ( still own )

Triumph TR7 dhc ( sold)

TR7 dhc bought with only 18,000 miles on it, still own now has 30,000 miles

Mazda MX 5 only owned it for 2 month ( horrible car )

Peugeot 205 gti 1.9 laser green (fastest car I got done by the police in, not weird)
Vauxhall nova Antibes 1.2 (swapped to this before I lost my license)
Fiesta 1.25 si (drank oil)
Mondeo1.8 (family car)
Z3 2.0 (love it, still got it)
vw passat tdi 150 (best everyday car ever, never cost a penny other than tyres and stuff and 50+ mpg
Seat Leon fr 170 now 200+ (utter c**p never buying anything from vw/seat/Audi again)

All in all pretty dismal as car history goes. Maybe I should buy a Phoenix yellow z3m to compensate.
