Very true mate, I've seen quite a few of my cars like that in the past. When they come out of the paint shop and you start taking off the masking and start refitting all the bits, well, its brilliant. Like a new car!

Tony.

Yes, she always looked good in photographs and if you were 10' away or more. When you got up close she showed the result of 153,000 miles worth of stone rash, with a few (tiny) rust spots.

Crikey i didn't know it had that mileage, just shows how well you've looked after it and how well the z3 fairs with age.
The color goes well with the interior, are you keeping it the same color ?
I've seen a few 2.8's for sale with over 180,000 miles and reported to still be going strong.

Crickey Dave, big respect to the zed for the mileage, can't wait to see the finished paint job :)

Yes those pics bring back memories! As Tony said they do look a little sad when stripped. Be worth it tho mate, are you going with a front end wrap after talking to the badman? I wish I had now, as you know we don't do many miles (about 1500 a year) and after two years we already have a few chips, they are very small but there still there. I'll definitely 3m the front next time it's painted. Did you make a decision on wheel colour?

Didn't know you had two spare wheels Dave, why are they on the car now? Are you having the proper ones refurbished?

Probably a wrap on the front bumper, not sure about the bonnet yet.

Wheels are being powder coated as per original colour.;)

Hi Mike, the wheels that she is wearing in the photos now are temporary ones from the bodyshop on the rear and one on the front. The other front one is my spare. This is while the 78's go off for a full refurb and then powder coated.

See you in 3 weeks Mike....
