Looking at those Sean, my impression is that the tyre has been damaged somehow. There looks to be very little difference in tyre wear which would indicate something like very badly worn bushes or something loose even. It doesn't look as though the camber issue has started to really take its toll on the insides.
Were these tyres on the car when you bought it? I'll be surprised if anything shows up on inspection. It could just even be a faulty tyre.

Tony.

Tony you could well be right :thumbsup:but I think compared to the wear on the rest of the tyre the wear on the inner edges is excessive even if the car is lowered, just changed my rears at 1.5mm centers and the wear on the inner and outers was equal at 2 mm and yes its been lowered, no inner wear at all. That amount of wear deserves to be checked out properly just to be on the safe side as I believe from talking to Sean he hasn't as yet done any bush replacements and he does like to lean hard on the tyres, I know I've chased him

That's true Niall but the pictures tend to make me think it is the sidewall that failed, probably due to earlier damage?

Tony.

My car sits extremely low and the camber is very negative but not getting this kind of wear but not really covering the distances either.
You can see the kind of camber i run in this picture and the tyres are 3k miles in but not showing any problems.

It may be a wall issue its rather far over on the inner edge.

Could well be, and the bush check only takes a few minutes on the jack so Sean should be able to sus it out, rule out things one at a time isn't it? One thing I would say when I started replacing the suspension and bushes etc on mine it was (well the stamped items anyway) all OEM original so 18 years old, all the rubber bits were knackered.
