@Antm72 spot on mate. RH up/down button changes radio station, and CD tracks whether on single CD player or multi changer. Just the R/T button to suss now. Need to get out in the dark now to test the illumination!

Tony.

Think you've pretty much got there. The up and down arrow are station search or preset up/down. Don't know myself about the R/T button. Can't be important- not used it myself.
My manual is in the car at Russ's at the moment. I have a PDF of the US manual - will take a look when I get chance to fire up my laptop.

Am guessing it's to switch control over between radio and the address book control for your phone if you have BT fitted. Much easier to use Siri/Cortana (or your favourites list) to find an address book entry and call nowadays so if that's what it is that explains why I haven't used it. Not that I'd use any - I don't have any friends when I'm in the car ;)

R = Radio / T = Telephone -switches between the two, without any phone prep kit doesn't do anything. From my experience of having it fitted to my first Z4 it's a hateful system. Trying to bond bluetooth devices requires a level of patience I've never been interested in showing before.

Both manuals for the Z4 integrated phone system are available to download in the Resources section of this very site ;)

Ive had Parott kits before and lost patience with them, especially voice activated dialling.

The phone kit is a waste of time. I have it on mine but you need the different adaptor for the phone you use. Do not do one i believe for the smart phones but could be wrong
