The last thing I bought for my Z this week was a set of gloss black valve caps. Hoping they would have arrived yesterday as they should. Anyway I'll fit them next Friday when we get home. Not chrome anymore but still shiny @andyglym so shouldn't lose any speed.

Nice touch!
I also added a touch of bling to mine, inspired by your posts.

Bought some new heater control bulbs and fitted 2 in the green machine, last job that's been bugging me even though I've never driven it in the dark! A bit fiddly but no cut hands or lost bits and everything lights up nice, so all good.

Yeah did think about having it red but Jack advised it would hold its colour better in black. At least no stitching missing and can see out of the rear window now

Red, in all things be it roof material, paint or even carpet will definitely fade.

Strictly speaking I bought these the week before last, but only got to fit them today.
Firstly, I put a little oil in them.

Then drain them on a paper towel.

Then get them on the valves.

Then wait to see if they're as fast as the chrome ones @andyglym ;)

One more thing which was on the doormat waiting for me was this.

With some subtle alterations it has now morphed into this.
Now you see it!

Good idea Tony ....
One I stole from somewhere mate, can't remember where but it'll work. Totally reversible too (apart from a 3mm hole) and a blind man on a galloping horse wouldn't spot that. =))

was bored today browsed evilBay and out of the blue my finger started pushing buttons with the speed that a cobra on steroids attacks its victim.
so….
black tonneau cover, soft top protection, two new side badges, oem-like carpets, a battery powered air pump, a disa repair kit (that I do not need but bought just in case) and a chrome exhaust tip…

I guess I need to find a flower shop the day all these arrive…

Bought myself a new trolley jack. I've checked loads of these when checking lifting equipment at garages and because I've never found any cause to report a defect on one I decided to look for one when I wanted to upgrade my current jack. They used to be sold by Sealey but they're now discontinued so imagine my surprise when I found a guy on Ebay with 2 in stock and at a great price, (as far as I'm concerned anyway)

Steel wheels and thick handle and well proven in busy working garages. These are well made jacks with 8mm thick side plates but a bit on the heavy side. Wouldn't like to carry them very far

I have a red Sealey one the same Garry, they’re good jacks. I’ve used it on our Gary’s old VW Crafter.
