Last I heard of Paddy who was Det Chief Insp and an ex school friend was that he'd retired and bought a bar in Spain. Jock was also an ex school friend and next door neighbour.

If she could go back further she might recall Big Jack Fuller, our local beat copper who everyone called Sir or Mr Fuller. He was a proper copper, built like Desperate Dan and didn't take no sh*t from anyone
