Hey all , what with one thing and another it's just dawned on me that I've not seen the Z3 this year.
I'm sure it will be in its garage with a flat battery and tyre flat spots but I've just not unlocked the garage for so much as a peek.
This is really bad I know and I'll never go to heaven ( nor bavaria) so I've made a promise to myself to find the battery charger and fire her up next weekend.
How bad am I ?

Garage queens. Huh.
Apart from that, it seems that flat batteries can be to blame for some electrical problems, not happened to me but I've been reading this forum (and another one) for a few years and it's happened a few times. Beware.

Thanks for the "get your bloody finger out " messages. She started first time and I'm stood with the garage door open whilst she runs
Should really be, "I'm standing with the garage door open....." . Stood is in the past tense!....Standards dear boy!..;)

Yup , I was doing that too.
Anyhow if it's nice at the weekend I'll drive her out and make sure the tyres don't stop in the same place. Can't go for a run as I am SORN at the moment

Yes t-tony I use chalk on the tyres. Its a bit hard bending at the moment due to my stupid horse and the resulting broken ribs but I'll tie chalk to a stick if I have to.
As soon as the weather turns I'll pay my VED , I hope it will be April , fingers crossed.

Thanks Tony. They hurt like Billy-o when it's cold so last week wasn't good.
I can only imagine mate, my old mum broke her ribs many years ago and I can remember how much agony she was in. Hope they heel well, and soon.

Tony.

Best not to leave the battery plumbed in if the car is left for more than a couple of weeks. It's not an old wives' tale, it really does reduce the life of the battery. My brother managed to muller a year old Exide battery recently like that.

One problem a critically discharged battery can give or even just removing a battery, is throwing out the security rolling codes between the EWS and DME. Again, not an old wives' tale. That one happened to me last week when I borrowed the battery for a project car.
