It's been so dry and sunny in Devon this year I want to delay hard top fitting and winter maintenance as long as possible.
Into work tomorrow morning at 0600, roof down, heated seats on.
If you are parking up for any length of time securely chock the wheels and leave the hand brake off.Fire up the engine regularly to remind yourself how good it sounds.

Cheers,

Jonno

My winter storage schedule:

Clean car

Flush and drain engine oil, add new oil and fit new oil filter (that way there are no nasties left in the engine)

Apply gummi phledge to all the roof seals

Apply leather cleaner and conditioner to seats

Keep windows closed but put a caravan condensation trap thing in passenger footwell

Connect a very low charge trickle charger to battery and cover car with an indoor breathable full cover

Start car every couple of months and run until fully warmed up (keeps fuel pump working) and in my case I pull the car out of garage into street, turn it around and put it back which rotates the tyres

I also have a list of little jobs which I will do if there are any nice dry days

Then just look forward to the first sunny days of spring!
What's gummi phledge?

It's a German product that is put on your seals in your soft top, HT, etc and it softens and actually swells them slightly. Any rubber type seals will benefit from using it. It may eliminate some leaking as well as wind whistle! Available on eBay! HTH JIM

Custom Half Cover - Check.

Duvet (4.5 Tog) - Check.

Gummi Pfledge 100ml - Check.

The Half cover arrived, feels very good, heavy duty quality, shall review once fitted.

OK Winter, bring it on :)

Might fit my hard top if the weather worsens but will wait a bit longer first. My car is on the road all year round, as is my Merc so will just keep them clean underneath and will enjoy driving them.

We've got a trip to Hugh and Sarah's in a few weeks so still a bit to look forward to yet.

Does it not mess about with the fancy electrics if the battery is disconnected? (sorry, still learning)

That's all I ever do if laying the car up for any length of time, never had a problem in spring. JIM
