Finally time to get this back on the road again. Lots of work done as per the YouTube channel, and lots more still to do on cosmetics, second battery pack etc. But will be great to be driving it again.

It's going to fail of course, but not on too much I hope.

I'm confused are you saying that there is new youtube content because I couldn't find any ?

Belated little update: finally getting some bodywork done in the rare dry moments. It's not ideal working in a northern winter without a garage, but I do at least now have a gazebo in the back yard for the bits that I can fit in it/get down the alleyway.

I haven't taken any very good photos so these are stills from the latest/upcoming YouTube vids but main changes are that the rear light buckets are now properly integrated, as is the number plate surround, and I've added material to the back of the door shuts so that I can sand them back for a better fit.

Still a lot of work to do, just on this bit, to get it ready for paint. Sills and winglets can all come to the gazebo to get tarted up. Hard part is going to be the bonnet...

Been putting some time - and money - into the interior while the weather has been too bad for working on the body. Finally fitted the subwoofer I restored (though it's not hooked up yet) and fitted the roll hoops I bought from @IainP (albeit I need to finish up the trim). All in the video that went out tonight.

What's not covered there is an issue I have with my new heated leather seats. My connectors don't seem to match up and I'm wondering if I need to swap in the complete bases from my old cloth ones.

This is the connector for the seatbelt tensioner (I think) that comes out of the floor on my passenger side.

And this is the remaining connector on my new seat that appears to go to the seatbelt tensioner.

Clearly these don't match up yet with lots of googling and forum searching, I can't find someone with the same issue? Any advice welcome.

Thought I'd do a quick update with some pics on where I'm up to. Still a long way to go but I'm really happy with how it's looking.

New wheels are on (17in BBS split rims with 235x55 Nexen rubber, all done by Evolution Coatings in Irlam), new seats are repaired and installed (from BMW Spares Scotland - these will be retrimmed at some point), as are repaired/upgraded subwoofer and amp, and roll hoops - need to make a bunch of trim though.

Lots of work still to do on the body when it's dry again. But it's coming along.

Yep. Got some more electricals to do to finish up charging and add range but apart from that it's all cosmetics now. Oh, and I need to fit my refurbed front calipers. Then of course I'll want to do the back end ...

Setting out to do some upgrades and service items (and undo some of my own bodgery) and have hit a bit of an issue.

Ordered a replacement flex disc and bolts and it has come with M10 bolts. My old one has M12.

I can't find any reference to different sizes on here. And none of the listings seem to specify.

Anyone know the right part number for the giubo/flex disc with the 12mm bolts?
