After fitting poly bushes on the rear of the front control arms, the tracking will need adjusting.
So i called in ay my local A.T.S branch today to get the car booked in.
The chap said they won't do it, to take it to BMW, or a specialist place he recommended in Nottingham.
He said weights should be added inside the car. 68kg in both the seats and 14kg in the boot plus a full tank of fuel to be able to set it up right.
Anyone know if this is correct ?.

Steve.
Yep, technically correct but over the top.

Found a local garage that'll do the tracking for £30 today.
So it's booked in for Friday, hopefully it'll handle better afterwards on our crappy roads.

Got the tracking done today without any dramas :).
Very helpful young chap did it who is into B.M's as well, commented on how nice the zed is which cheered me up.
He said it was way out and needed quite a bit of adjusting.
Not been for a proper drive to test it out as yet, so can't comment if it's improved anything.

My Escort vans eat lower arms and every time you change one, you need to track it. I was getting my tracking done at Formula One (Sawley) for £25. For just over two trackings, I bought one of these...

Works a treat.

You've reminded me mine needs doing also, I have a virtually unused set of the old fashioned Dunlop wheel alignment gauges with swivel plates for measuring toe out on turns. Also have camber gauges. Need to soak those TRE lock nuts :bored:
