OK so this evening I picked Willow up from the Zedshed HQ. Lee warned me she was a bit different. 1st thing the clutch was as light as a feather. Next she slipped into first with the engine off and a cold box. That would never be an option before. On the drive home it drove like a totally different car silky smooth and precise gear changes no sloppy lever and aligned perfectly. I realise now I have been driving a truck around for the past 4 and half years. Great job and thank you @Lee and ZedshedHQ. .....again.....

You're possibly thinking 80's Vauxhall Cavalier Mk11 where you didn't have to remove gearbox to replace clutch. Could do it in 30 mins :)
Wow great idea wonder why it didn’t catch on - for small clutches only?

I quite like the tractor shift and clutch action on my 2.8, burns more calories that way. My watch asks if I’m working out when driving it =))

Axle stands!

I take my hat off to you.

What kind of clearance do you have under there? Any photo from a little further away showing you working, preferably lying there with your arms wrapped round the transmission, to give us, or me at least, a feeling for how tight it must be under there. (Before I go out and buy a hat to take off)

@Lee - could I ask where you got the shifter pins from? BMW dealer? - the 5th gear one seems to fetching a price! Was there some sort of kit you can get all the locking pins/bushings in?
Yeah that 5th pin is expensive now. You don’t actually need to change it, it’s the liner that wears away so you could opt for not buying the new 5th pin.

Hi all, reviving an old thread after a bit of googling, was wondering how and where I can get the help of the Zedshed guys to get this exact work done on mine?

Thank you!

Only contactable via a spiritual medium I heard.

Jokes aside, I'm sure Lee will be along soon with his contact details.
