Hope you didn't do any damage??

Is great fun though isn't it? That was the first of 4 laps. My brakes are cooked!

Thanks No damage this time just my pride :meh: made it worse as my mate who was behind me saw it and i'v never lived it down .
To be honest i found it un-nerving on a bike with all those hyper cars flying past me :racecar:.
I'd done plenty of track days before that but of course there were no cars on track so no problems but on the 'ring' it's a free for all and wouldn't go round it again on a bike.....
but in a car,its a different story, still need to have your wits about you though :coolsteer) and it would be more fun than frightening :D

That's fortunate then! I must admit I had to double take when I was overtaken by an estate golf!!!

Got started on these yesterday. Front left came off and attached OK. It immediately sits lower (didn't get pictures of the coilover fitted).

The front right was (and is) a pig. Stuck nut so had to take the hub and disc off to get better access. Still stuck now but have an 18mm impact socket on the way tomorrow

The rears went on simply enough however that did involve stripping the boot to get to the rear top mounts. What have I done???

The rear damper were absolutely shot, hardly any resistance in them and squeaked. I guess that's the reason for poor handling and squeaks!

New damper and spring in place

Some of the day was left so stripped some of where the front strip had been painted and shouldn't have been :pompus:

How it shouldn't be:

How it should be

Tomorrow I need to get the pig nut off, refit the front, put the interior back together ( the right way this time, previous owner just shoved it in) and set the ride height properly. Happy days!!!

Great work, Not sure if you have a solution or not but you may wish to give some thought regarding the rear shock adjusters before you piece everything back together, you can buy extension pieces that attach to the top of the shocks so you can remotely change the shock settings. I see you have the 6kg springs in the rear, be interested to hear how you get on with these.

Yeah I know about the adjustment. The rear is sitting slightly too high so will need to readjust.

I was surprised at how stiff the chassis is. If you jack up one corner I end up with three wheels of the ground!

The 6kg springs... I imagine I'll upgrade to 8kg.soon but will try things out soon
