No worries Andy, glad you've got them fitted now. The spring compressor and windy gun makes light work of changing the shocks over, so more time for chatting, coffee and eating Lee's birthday cake

Taking @Oldguysrule zed to the next level we are around the 220Bhp at the moment. So to see if we can gain a few more BHP we've had the throttle body bored out another 4mm. It starts life as 64mm so its now 68mm.

Provisionally planned next rolling road session for Feb, this time giving the ECU a chance to adjust to the extra air flow. @Bazza got a passenger seat in the 2.8 after the manifold swap and can confirm its night and day.

That photo reminds me, I've had the manifold swap done on my 2.8 and not sure about the throttle body.

If anyone is interested, this guy will for £100 enlarge your TB. For up to 5bhp you cant argue for that.

Mmmm...been looking at the manifolds for long times, seem to be £200 for the manifold alone.
Have seen some advertised with a claimed bigger throttle body - did the 2.5 have a bigger throttle body?

Pretty much the same by 0.5mm they also have a slightly different linkage. Our kit came with a standard 2.8 TB installed so we sent it away to be bored out.

The guy likes you to send him your TB, he turns them round in a couple of days and posts it back. I got ours done within one week.

The new throttle body is now on, It was another noticeable increase. Once you reach the mid range it picks up a lot better. Now time for some mapping.

Old is 64mm new 68mm

Do you find a loss on the lower ranges?
Is it more vtec like delivery now with a noticeable top end but weaker bottom end?
