the common denominator is the driver. He could just be driving it that little bit harder than the others. I doubt there is a conspiracy theory worth chasing!
Agreed though the team would have anylysed his driving to death. Just bad luck. Makes for interesting bar talk though ;)

'We've done nothing against him'

Mercedes non executive chairman Niki Lauda says the team has "let down" Lewis Hamilton.

He told Sky Sports: "I am really upset about myself and my organisation because we should not let him down with an engine failure. It was a fairly new engine, it was not old in the car. What went wrong I do not know and we will work to correct it".

"I am taking him to Japan tomorrow in my plane. I hope I can bring him up. The championship is over when the last race is over, 23 points is a lot but you never know".

"We have done nothing against him. We have people working for him, we are proud of him and these things happen."

Online vote today.....

Vote result

Before the race we asked if you felt Nico Rosberg deserves to win the title this year, given that he has won more races than any other driver in 2016.

The outcome was a majority 'no', with 71% of you saying he doesn't deserve it.

Where will the title be won?

Here's the remaining races. Can you see Lewis Hamilton overturning the 23 point deficit?

Japanese Grand Prix (Suzuka, 7-9 October)

United States Grand Prix (Austin, 21-23 October)

Mexican Grand Prix (Mexico City, 28-30 October)

Brazilian Grand Prix (Sao Paulo, 11-13 November)

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Yas Marina, 25-27 November)

Trying to be impartial so I'll go along with Martin Brunel, a Drive Through would be about right. And a 60 race ban =)) (he didn't say that bit)

10 second time penalty, what a joke.....
even though I don't like him, I do think it was a bit harsh. Do we think Rosberg whould have chased down the red bulls?

pleased with prediction result, up one place and chasing Andy!

  2. Is Vettel good enough?

Little bit of light at the end of the tunnel for me for tomorrow.....

Vettel to start seventh after penalty

Vettel will start seventh tomorrow as a result of the three-place penalty he received for that first-corner crash in Malaysia.

That means Verstappen will start fourth, Ricciardo fifth and Perez sixth.
