Russell may even get disqualified yet and get a grid penalty for the next race ...... in a Williams. He may as well walk round and get run over 20 times, it couldn't be any worse for the ladWell don't forget LeBerk has a 3 place grid penalty next week. I was under the impression from a few races ago that first lap incidents were classed as "Racing incidents"? Usual stewards consistency then.
Tony.
Mercedes had a day to forget for sure Andy. Russell didn't put a foot wrong really. Not fair to punish the driver I don't think, again this was an instance the Team should take a hit as the driver has no control over what the team to while he is sitting in the car. There was one instance where this happened IIRC?Russell may even get disqualified yet and get a grid penalty for the next race ...... in a Williams. He may as well walk round and get run over 20 times, it couldn't be any worse for the lad
He also said this when asked if Mercedes needed "big bucks Hamilton" to lock out the front row;And to think the only prediction I got right, was Haas scoring zero!
So, when Max said "90% of the drivers on the grid could win in a Mercedes" he was slated....... was he wrong?
and the other 90% wouldn't have turned into dickheads using the sport to promote there own agendas!Sainz also said that yes, 90% of drivers could win in a Mercedes but none could do what Hamilton has done.
Interesting points.and the other 90% wouldn't have turned into dickheads using the sport to promote there own agendas!
George crammed himself into a cockpit designed for someone else, 5 inches shorter, with significantly smaller feet and hands, then he went out and out performed his team mate and equalled what Lewis would probably have done.
Here's a conspiracy theory for you, someone in Mercedes threw the pit stop to prevent George standing on the podium. They don't need the constructors points, Lewis is champion, Max will have to do something stunning next week to push Valtteri out of second. George on the podium really would make it look like the car wins the race.
So, what happens next week? If Lewis isn't back, they will have to put George in again because if they put a another driver in, and they do the same as George, it would prove Valtteri is rubbish and Lewis is just good, and not really the superstar everyone thinks. But the knock on effect goes further, there would be an argument for tightening technical rules to bring the car performance closer together, something budgets alone won't do.
