Well done finding that one. It took me 30 minutes of Streetviewing. I nearly gave up, and thought someone had turned it into matchsticks.Tricky little beggar the beadnell box, 817, found it on our third pass hiding in the trees. Luckily Rod has his most determined challenge jumpsuit on ( orange fyi) View attachment 267455View attachment 267457View attachment 267459
You weren't the only one...At last I have visited the AA box on Porlock Hill in my latest purchase which is about 17 miles from where I live which is a mile inland from Blue Anchor Bay
That’s a great Z driving road! Not!You weren't the only one...
Did you see the end? I wasn't alone. That’s a great Z driving road! Not!
So you found the same AA box?![]()
How did you find that dirt track, Porlock is well sign posted all the way on the A39. I have passed the AA box many times going to Lynmouth but never knew Stevo had posted this some time ago. SatNavs often lead you up the garden pathYou weren't the only one...
OK, ok, ok…against my better judgment, and as the map isn’t too clear, is there a written list as to where these AA boxes are*?

The video pretty much explains it. I was in an L322 Range Rover. It needed the high lift suspension, but it didn't need the Low Range. I did it in 3rd (Low) which is the same as 1st (High). The dryness of the ground made it very easy - the only concern was clearance, and with the High Suspension setting, it wasn't a problem for me. As @ktnez99 correctly stated, it isn't a road for ZsHow did you find that dirt track, Porlock is well sign posted all the way on the A39.
