Sorry to start another thread on this guys but I can't find my other one, I bought myself some practice molds and had another go at Carbon fibre, I am really pleased with the results and feel that I could have a go at some interior parts now so I am looking for a centre consul to have a go at.

Its just practice mould specifically for hydrographics
I'm not buying that story...it's something from a dodgy catalogue that they only sell in @hardtop neck of the woods.

Looks very good though whatever it is!

Chuck an AC Schnitzer badge on it and you'll sell 100 over night, regardless of if it does anything!

This one looks like something you would find on an operating theatre floor, supposed to be burr walnut, think I need a darker base colour

That looks to be a very good finish Sean
That walnut burr further down the thread looks awful though......stick with the carbon finish :)

I suppose the trick to doing the console is getting the carbon to lye the same over the two pieces but it's going to look superb .

Had another go at the walnut but used a brown base coat, its a lot better but too dark, I will try again with a lighter base coat.

The effect is good Sean, may be a yellowy brown base coat like the old Jags used to have?

Its not as easy as it looks, but I feel that I am getting there, a few more dips and I'll have a go for you, how big is the item
