Reigning Le Mans 24 Hour champion Earl Bamber, 25, says he has no desire to race in F1, where too many drivers pay their way into team positions.

McLaren's Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso will run an updated turbocharger in this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.

F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone says the sport has a "100%" clear conscience despite being criticised for taking the European Grand Prix to Azerbaijan.
Amnesty International has called on F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone to put pressure on Azerbaijani authorities to improve their human rights record.

Defending champion Hamilton has compared the track in Azerbaijan capital Baku to a "motorway" after sampling it in the Mercedes simulator before this weekend's inaugural European Grand Prix.

Championship leader Nico Rosberg believes Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton has a first-corner weakness and will continue to try to capitalise on it.
Nico Rosberg will not alter his approach to race weekends despite seeing his championship lead cut to only nine points by Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton over the past two races.

Meanwhile, Ecclestone has predicted Lewis Hamilton will win his fourth F1 drivers' title this season.

Lewis Hamilton trailed team-mate Nico Rosberg as Mercedes dominated the second practice session at the German Grand Prix.

Hamilton was 0.394 seconds adrift of the German after a messy lap simulating qualifying and 0.2secs clear of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in third.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were fourth and fifth ahead of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari.

Jenson Button was eighth but was taken to hospital with an eye "irritation".

The 2009 world champion went to Mannheim hospital "to have a precautionary check-up", but later said on social media: "On my way back to Hockenheim from the Mannheim hospital for an eye examination, foreign body found & removed. All good for tomorrow."

McLaren chairman Ron Dennis has failed with a High Court bid to prevent his fellow directors suspending him.

Dennis, a 25% shareholder in McLaren Group who wants to take a controlling interest in the company, sought an injunction in London on Friday.
The failure casts further doubt on the 69-year-old's position after shareholders told him last month they would not renew his contract for 2017.
The Bahraini royal family owns 50% of the company through their Mumtalakat investment fund, with the remaining 25% owned by Mansour Ojjeh.
He is the long-time business partner of Dennis, but the pair have had a difficult relationship in recent years.
Dennis has been seeking investment to enable him to take his shareholding over 50% and give him total control of the company.

Kevin Magnussen, who is moving to Haas for 2017, says the reason he decided not to stay with Renault was because he did not feel the team was committed to him, joking they "offered the drive to so many others and I think at one point the Pope had an offer".

It will be an emotional weekend for Felipe Massa with the Williams driver taking part in his final home race before he retires at the end of the season.

Former Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn expects Nico Rosberg to win the drivers' championship, but believes he will have to wait until the last race of the season.
Damon Hill, world champion in 1996, says Rosberg will be a worthy winner of the title.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the team are only committed to Formula 1 until 2020, and will stay longer only if "the sport develops in a positive way".

Britain's Jolyon Palmer tweeted his delight after it was confirmed he would be staying at Renault for next season.

Mexican Sergio Perez has ended his ties with sponsor Hawkers after the company, which produces sunglasses, made a joke on Twitter about next American president Donald Trump. The company said Mexicans could use their sunglasses to hide their "crying eyes when you are building the wall"...=))
