A good idea Dave, after all, as with most things, it's personal choice. I find that Shirl's Eos is a nicer ride on non run flats and she has certainly not noticed any drop off in handling and I think she would have, but, her car is front wheel drive. Maybe that may make a difference?mmm may try it myself first Bill.
That's one in the plus column Col, thank you.unlike a dirty black or white one
Anytime Tony, you know that!!That's one in the plus column Col, thank you.
Tony.
The normal tyres do soften the ride and I can see that a lot of people would like that, but the harder ride is one of the reasons we got the Sports spec and not the SE. Some years ago I read a review in one of the car magazines that noted the "hard" ride that, from memory was: "The car feels every imperfection in the road surface even running over a discarded bus ticket, in Sports trim you not only feel the ticket but can read the printing on the ticket."mmm may try it myself first Bill. Thanks for the tip
Of all the manufacturers wheels that we see cracks in at work I'm sorry to say BMW and a close 2nd MERC are by far the worst. We do put some of this down to the stiff sidewalls of the run flat tyres.bad for cracking
If we didn't have such c**p roads I might think differently.........but..........I'm afraid we do. Our road tax is supposed to go towards our roads.............what a joke that is, especially round here.Of all the manufacturers wheels that we see cracks in at work I'm sorry to say BMW and a close 2nd MERC are by far the worst. If only - Road Tax specifically for spending on roads actually ceased to exist in 1937 (it only lasted from 1920 to 1937) since 1937 (Road Tax / VED) has just been general taxation straight to the Treasury. Our road tax is supposed to go towards our roads.............what a joke that is, especially round here.
Like the Z4 mint especially the wheels, set it off nicely.Well, we've only gone and done it. We've treated ourselves to an early (big) birthday present. We've bought a Z4 to keep our Z3 company in the garage. She's a 2006, 2.5 Si Sport in Metallic Grey with 40,000 on the clock on BMW Style 101 rims. On run flats at the moment but these will be changed when funds allow. She was the eighth Z4 we looked at and we travelled as far afield as Preston, Leeds, Lichfield and Derby. Finally bought her over in Northants. The first three photos are from my phone and the rest are from the advert. Perhaps some proper photos later...

Ummmm, that's interesting Bill, I, along with a lot of people probably, didn't know that.If only - Road Tax specifically for spending on roads actually ceased to exist in 1937 (it only lasted from 1920 to 1937) since 1937 (Road Tax / VED) has just been general taxation straight to the Treasury.
The room in the boot is the decider, MozThat looks a nice Zed Dave, like the colour an the wheels, tough choice now , z3 or z4 for europe [emoji4] [emoji41] [emoji89]
What have you got run flats on? Is it a Z4 or is it the Z3 in your Avatar???hi just done 500 mls on run flats a,b,duel roads and motorways first big run, on duel and motorways with good roads tyres ok. down the country roads a right hand full you fight the steering all the time takes the fun out of driving, first time i have drove on run flats and as money comes available they will go, i can see how easy it would be to split a rim
