I've never seen any so if those are the top inner supports for the OEM hoops those are the ones I need! The PO told me that the car had HT install fittings as well roll bar fittings in place but turns out no HT fittings and only the floor mount for the hoops. So then I had to scramble to find the HT fittings but couldn't find the top inner brackets for the hoops. I did find the small lid but don't have hinges or latch for it. The hoops I bought had the small square pieces so had those. PO admitted after I'd bought the top that he didn't know what fittings were needed. Unfortunately that was before I found this forum with all it's collective knowledge. I just checked last night and my first anniversary is Feb 10. JIM

I'll see if I can get my son to shovel his way into the car as we've just had another 10-15 cm of snow over the past two days. But there is nothing inside the storage compartment. The hoops are simply sitting inside the box with the pieces that take up the space lost by going to the small lid from large which is still in Hounslow waiting to get shipped with all the other parts I have there that couldn't accompany the car on the ship. I'm still fighting this damn stomach infection so have to rely on the boy to do these things for me. JIM

Goodies in the post today :)

Thanks to @Southernboy for these

@oldcarman Jim the parts I have would not be suitable for use with the top stowage with a hinged leather lid as the 'box' in conjunction with roll hoops is one unit - recently purchased myself. Let me know when you've had a chance to take a pic

Cheers

I just fitted the little cushions for the door armrests (the 2 black pads in your pic) that I bought from Orinoco.
What a nice little mod and big improvement to comfort. The pics can't show how soft and pillowy it is and lovey for your elbow to rest on.
Highly recommended!

Hi Ash, not quite sure exactly what you mean by the box in conjunction with the hoop is one piece but will try to get some pics for you on Wednesday.
What I need are the anchor fittings for the hoops which are what you show in the pic, are they not. My small lid is not covered or hinged yet, it just sits between the two inside top pieces that the hoop slides through. Hope this makes sense. JIM

RHD cosmos schwarz bases on order and I've dropped the mirror casing off to be sprayed.

Oil change and filter yesterday, treated the Z to Shell Ultra to go with the Nitro fuel :p

Where did you get the grills? link?
I like the style of the M-grills....but I would ditch the indentation for the M-emblem (but don't want to start that discussion again)

Regards, Koen

Have you had a price yet to spray the gills up? I am in the process of spraying a pair, but not sure how they will turn out yet.

Car is looking great by the way
Thanks its getting there..

Having spent a fair bit at a bodyshop already, they tend to do small bits for the cost of paint and a beer :beer

Remap done, it arrives at the high rpm very quickly now, just haven't found a clear enough road to test it out fully :D

Replaced the clutch bushes with some Delrin bushes from Condor Speed Shop and fitted a bigger clutch stop to smooth gear changes :)

Dismantling things...

Clutch arm out, no going back

New vs old (typical BMW bush not fit for purpose)

No step by step I'm afraid, I was too busy swearing lol
