Also to answer a couple of questions, I've had the name for many years now so I kind of stick with it, real name is Rich! Rear screen is being sorted by a firm from Coventry softtops.org.uk who drop you at the motor museum whilst they work on the screen, then pick you up after. Good price to, £140 which beats BMW by over £300. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Once the cars looking more respectable, I'll share some pics.

Welcome from Exeter. I would say you have just bought a classic! Good choice.

Cheers,

Did around 100 miles yesterday as a bit of a cobweb blow out and I'm a kid with a new toy! Thought I'd do a bit of maintenance on the car, nothing overly technical as I'm far from that with cars. Changed out the air filter that had a date in 2011 written on it and only around 2k miles ago. Plugs next and general check over. I'll get it into a garage for oil and filter as its much easier to let someone with ramps do it.

Anyone got advice on oil for it. I'm thinking magnitec or similar due to engine age etc etc.

Thanks

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or if it should be in another thread. The drivers side mirror is very magnified in comparison to the passengers side. Is this normal or would it suggest that it was replaced by an aftermarket piece? Either way I'm going to have to change it as it makes car behind you seem like they're on your boot!

Thanks

I would think it has an after market glass on it, possibly one of the self adhesive type to get the car through an M.OT. At reduced cost.

Tony.

Again not sure if this should be on this thread so please advise if not.

I'm starting to build a shopping list and one of the more pressing items is a replacement key as the car only came with one and that one is looking rather tired. Any advice and prices anyone?

Thanks,
Rich

That sounds about where I guessed it'd be. I'll make some calls.
