The m still looks better mate.
Yeah I'm not a Porsche fan. A few friends have them and they are very nice but it's just not me and wouldn't spend my money on one. It's only recently that I have liked ferraris too, the 430 started that but the latest one (again not up with the numbers) looks lovely.

I've always had a soft spot for lambos and astons tho ;)

Right now, where I live, it would be an x6 M for me or a range rover of some kind but as they cost more than £170k it's not going to be anytime soon! Even if I had that cash to throw away I'd still think twice knowing how much they cost elsewhere. I'll stick with the Chevy for now, same age as the M and gives me something to tinker with :)

That's good to know from someone who has such access to both cars :) I'm sure a Boxter fan would say otherwise though :D

I found my M to be solid at 155mph with no lifting at all from the front.

Is there some difference between the standard set up on a normal Z3 and Z3M other than stiffer springs and harder bushes? that makes the Z3M more stable at high speed? The only real difference that I could think of between them is that the Z3M has splitters. Do the subtle changes in suspension set up really make that much difference and if so could anyone change their set up to the M spec in order to enhance the stability of their Zed. I'm wondering if this guy at the beginning of the thread, has very worn suspension that might have caused it to become unstable at high speed, after all it was an S Reg.

My m is a lot more stable at high speed than my last which was a 2.8, that did have 82k on it and the m has 52k if that makes a difference.

I find the boxster is a bit more grown up and less lairy than the m.

Saying that tho the m is laid up in the garage for the winter and the boxster is still on the road!!!

I've had mine over 150 (I was checking it had been delimited lol) and it does get light at the front but this is not uncommon in most cars. Drive something like a F430 at the speed and it's sucked to the ground but that's the difference with a super car that is designed to run at that sort of speed. The aerodynamics of our cars aren't.

So then does this mean you want to change the zed for an //M??? :coolsteer)

the splitters do make a difference.....very much so with the small mouth bumper....at 120 it was very light but splitters on and it makes a difference...

When comparing these two cars which came first? Am i wrong in thinking that the M///
was out and about long before the boxter and there for would have been more modern
in design?? suspension wise i mean...

suspension on the z3 goes back to the early 90's i believe.
