Very happy memories. It was on his118i convertible which I had for just over a year. I traded it for the Z and am sure he would have approved.

Bought myself a personal plate this week but it means I have to rename my Zed. I've always called her "Cilla", but she'll very soon be renamed "Rio"
My new number is R10 GJO (GJO are my initials) and I think Rio is an ok name so it's turned out quite well.
When the transfer goes through I'll put the new plates on and upload a new pic.

Mine cost £297 including transfer fee and vat so I'm quite pleased, plate was £156 plus vat.

Even managed to keep her as an "R" reg too

@Jack Ratt , that's not bad at all , I don't want to spend loads on a plate that's worth more than the car!
Got it from plates4less.com they've got thousands of cheap plates. The number I bought was advertised on DVLA site for £399 plus vat

One of the cheapest accessories for a car. Don't have one on the Zed, like the number thats on (S35) but do have one on the 3 series. Had it a while now cheap to buy but had it on 11 cars in total so the DVLA have had there pound of flesh off me.

Just don't get a cheapo Northern Ireland plate or one of those that you have to illegally space the digits or have number plate fixing screws strategically placed for it to mean anything - you'd just look a knob.

Otherwise get one!
Nicely put lol! As cheery as always! :slaphead:

Any reg plate that's on a website such as new reg or elite registrations is more often than not available on the dvla website and considerably cheaper. ;)

I bought my wife who if you hadn't sussed her name by my username is Jue (M50 JUE) in 2001 from the dvla. She had it on her shogun for years but decided to sell it a couple of years ago. We have both discussed getting another one each since. I wouldn't put one on the Zed tho as I like the original plate on it. :)

I must have the cheapest private plate. Only bought it a couple of weeks ago on a browsing whim.

S5 AXH.

Bought it off eBay for £116 inclusive of the transfer fee ! So I sent a cheque to DVLA for £25 and that's that. Got to be the cheapest genuine purchase surely? I can feel the "Scottish invention of copper wire" being mentioned soon.........

According to his seller location on eBay, it's Southport, Merseyside. If it's him, what a small world eh ?
