I bought an induction kit for my Z4 a few weeks ago and after getting a few outstanding jobs done in the shed I spent an hour or so fitting my new Ramair induction. I eventually will make a hot air heat shield for it but first had the get it mounted so I can take measurements from it's position in the engine bay.
The bits in the box @Bozzy, @Grumpy[/USER] ,@Sean d and @Mint.

Road test delayed as the newly painted mounting bracket had to go in the paint oven. Most call it gas mk2 but it was 100 deg. in ours  Going over to our Gary's tomorrow as it's his 30th birthday so will have a better idea then.

Interesting that T.
Not many around for the 3ltr. Due to the larger o/d to the maff.wot brand is it. and does the maff coupler come with it.

Ive actually fitted an airscoop to mine took off the bmw one .also blocked up the drain hole in the bottom of the airbox as that hole defeats the object of ramair .
And it is better higher revs.an not just my imagination .ha ha

Mega fail today, we ended up going over to Gaz's in Shirl's Eos so haven't got to road test the induction. Sounds very nice stationary when you press the loud pedal, will have to wait till tomorrow now.
@MAURICE THE MARTIAN this is a Ramair Universal induction with 90mm OD, I bought it on Black Friday on Best Offer, I offered £10 less than asking price and got it for that. The silicon connector was £7.00 and came with the Jubilee clips.

Update !
Just got back from a 25 mile run out to Gainsborough, over the river to Saundby past West Burton and through the villages back to Dunham, over the river and back home!:)
VERDICT?
Love the noise it makes, engine runs smoother, picks up quicker (I'm sure of that) and coming out of the village before home I floored it and it lit up the back tyres till the ASC took control, never noticed that up to now. Overall very happy.:D

Tony.

ps. When I get the desk top back I'll post some dash cam video on YouTube.

Wherever it comes from @Mint if you think it improves performance then it does, not the car but the driver's!! And may make the wife smile at the change!! JIM
