Thankyou, I think the plugs are on the light side as I do tend to drive it quite hard, I'm hoping to get the engine bay in to showroom condition and then do the underside and running gearI'm shocked all the time when I remove the plugs and I see it so clean! I'm used to see them Braun velvet , like for carburetor engines...
You have done great with the bonnet catch; I have also one corroded and it doesn't look good on the car. The secret of good looking car lies in details.

Top work Sean,you've got a great looking engine bay now .O/S inner wing done this morning as you can see I got all the way down to the chassis rails.

Thanks for the idea Shaun! Done the catches then the bonnet wouldn't open. Thankfully now fixed.Whipped the other bonnet catch of today and gave it some love
