That's the one I bought..
Yep it was me, thanks again frankie!I tried to fit in a new window several months afte I had bought it. In trying to remove the old one, it soon became obvious that the stitching holding the old half ot the zipper to the roof was shot. A further detained examination of the top showed that stitching in other parts of the roof was in poor condition. I decided to replace the entire roof myself. I didn't like the way I had fit it as it wasn't really perfect so I had it adjusted by a professional. I ended up giving the window to another forum member who was looking for one. I think he had it fitted in by someone else, but I can't remember now exactly what happened. I think it was @Connor but i could be wrong................Frankie
PS. I remember BadBoy telling me he tried and tried to fit in a new window and he ended up "launching it down the driveway"......Frankie
I will have a 4 month old genuine oem window as fitted by @Lee at the Zed Shed which I won't need when I get a new soft top.I can't get anyone here to even attempt to fit the window for me although reading through the forum it seems that a lot of guys have managed it with a little help and patience. I think I have the original roof on my 19 year old car so maybe a new one is not a bad call.
Replacement window anyone?
If you paid via PayPal, just contact eBay and complain. They ALWAYS come down on the customers side. Even contact PayPal direct and do the same thing.I had also requested a return, i dont have any pictures of it not fitting, and i wont be trying it again to get a picture!
Would rolling it up in an old towel not work?
That's super. One less thing to aggravate you. Now..........About the new top...........Did you find a good price?.....Will you attempt it yourself?.......FrankieUpdate re Ebay purchase.
They have refunded me without me even having to raise a claim.
Also, you have to make a choice of whether or not to get one that has a zip in window or a top that has a window sewn in that isn't replaced....FrankieUpdate re Ebay purchase.
They have refunded me without me even having to raise a claim.
I'm not sure if sewn-in windows can be replaced or if you have to buy a whole new top. Perhaps someone on here can answer that..........FrankieNot sure what type a new hardtop would come with to be honest.
A whole new top.Perhaps someone on here can answer that.
