This is why you fit an induction kit

Nothing wrong with oiled filters, read the research on K&Ns site about it and fouled mafs

I had no problems with mine and the car made very strong power and sounded incredible

so do you put oil on you 57i. im told that is not recommended on this motor
Yes mate. It's part of the cleaning process. You'll probably find that people that have issues are those that don't follow the instructions. Left mine to dry overnight post cleaning and again post oiling to dry and fully absorb the oil then put back on the car. No issues.

makes sense Andy. I know that it can cause major issues if the filter is wet when replaced. I never thought about people not letting the oil soak in. thanks so much for all your help and knowledge.

Here you are as promised, this is my Ramair cold air induction kit. It is "open ended" and placed right up to the Z4's cold air feed on the front panel.

And this is what it sounds like when you floor the throttle pedal. Turn the volume up on your device.

Quite often when people riding in the car hear It, they remark on how nice the exhaust sounds :). Can you buy Ramair filters at home?

Tony.
