Excellent work, looks great
Thanks have to say its amazingly transformed the sound. For such a small sub its got a lot of punch and has good depth.
I think it will sound better with a few hours of playing as the cone will relax a bit but in all my years of putting sound in cars the age old saying of you get what you pay for rings true, not the cheapest by any means but its the one that fits the build restraints you have in a zed.

Not sure which route I'll be taking Ant, was going to rewire system but am thinking on getting the small amp fitted behind the HU then it's only a couple of wires along the tunnel to sort it.

@Rha The best amp option for a sub and behind the dash is the Jl Audio HX300/1 its tiny but on test actually is more powerful than it states with this its just speaker cables and it has over run protection so current draw is protected so the dash /stereo wiring is good for all other connections.

Been looking at small amps Ant and the Jl looks good. Will decide after the maps out the way see what's exactly needed. Was looking at the Alpine dig amps last year at about the same price, suppose to be plug and play with my HU.

Tha alpine ones should do but the JL one is a mono amp so designated subwoofer amp @ 300w Rms .
The alpine ones are 4 x 45w Rms fine for all the other speakers but not ideal for a sub but it would work i suppose with some work.

Hi ant is there any chance that you could kindly post the measurements of your sub box if it's not to much hassle mate. as I just got my kicker 40CWRT672 delivered and was wanting to install it your design is the most tidy and neatest i have found. I have bought a length of 16 mm mdf jijsaw ready!

Ps I got the speaker for a good price on amazon here is the link if any one is interested
