Just going through my results, because I've just noticed that when Carlos Sainz moved to Renault, my "Team" ended up with his replacement Brendon Hartley!

I was getting ready to grumble at FantasyGP when I noticed he'd actually earned me some points. So did the maths first and discovered that due to the bonus points Brendon actually earned me 7 more points than what Carlos would have!

Good Lad! Brendon Hartley, "Driver of the Day!" :racecar:

Webber says it how it is, good lad =))
Max Verstappen has hit out at "one idiot steward", believing they "killed" the race, following his post-race penalty in Austin, and urged fans not to attend next year's event.

Verstappen, having started from 16th position, ran a two-stop strategy, and vaulted into contention for the podium, catching Kimi Räikkönen during the closing stages.

Verstappen grabbed the inside line into Turn 17 on the final lap and netted the position, but was issued with a five-second time penalty, demoting him to fourth, after it was deemed that he cut the circuit.

"It's just one idiot steward up there who makes the decisions against me," Verstappen said.

"[He was] also in Mexico [in 2016, when Verstappen was penalised]. Now I get a five-second penalty and a penalty point, for what?

"At the end of the day, everybody's running wide everywhere, there are no track limits, and then the crowd is loving it and you do something like that in front of world TV...

"You pick someone out from the podium again and tell them to go away.

"At the end of the day, I still had a great race. I'm happy with fourth. Just the way they did it is unbelievable."

Verstappen went on to comment: "You can't protest, it's in the rules. They know how to make the rules. At the moment it's in their favour.

"They decide and you can't do anything against them which is of course really weird. But what can you do?

"It's not good for the crowd. I really hope next year nobody is coming, because like this, the sport doesn't make sense. Everyone is loving it, great action.

"You go five or 10 centimetres in the inside of the kerb, everyone is running wide everywhere, nobody's saying anything, like in qualifying at Turn 19 you could just run wide wherever you liked.

"And they killed the race basically like that."

Kimi Räikkönen says he was "a bit surprised" by Max Verstappen's last-lap manoeuvre through Turn 17 as the pair battled for third at the United States Grand Prix.

"I saw him in the mirror and I tried to slow down the whole thing before the previous corners just to try to save enough fuel to be honest," he said.

"Then I thought I had enough cover on that corner, and I lifted because for the obvious reason that I said."

"Suddenly I saw a bit of him in the mirror and I was a bit surprised."

"But obviously at that speed I was more looking forward than rearwards so I was pretty p***** off that he got past me but I didn't have a chance and I slowed down."

Horner slams 'unbelievably harsh' penalty
Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner has hit out at United States Grand Prix stewards in the wake of Max Verstappen's post-race penalty.

Horner heaped criticism on the stewards in the aftermath of the decision.

"There have been cars going off-track all day today and no action at all," he told Sky Sports.

"I think it's unbelievably harsh to give Max a penalty for that, it just doesn't feel right, it's wrong".

"We'll have a look at it, but for me it was fair, hard racing".

"I think that's a bad judgment by the steward to have made that call"…

"He did it the hard way, you know, and we've [seen] cars off the track all day, all weekend, so to penalise him at this stage… that's not right."

Code for "I was desperately trying to keep Max behind me so he couldn't take Sebastian", rightly so as it's his job but he got done by the lad.

RAIKKONEN’S SURPRISING ADMISSION

Kimi Raikkonen admitted he was oblivious as to why Verstappen was slapped with a race-breaking penalty.

“I have no idea what happened with Verstappen or why he got the penalty,” Raikkonen said per Motorsport.com. “I had no idea what happened to him apart from he got past me at the second-last corner".

“Obviously I was disappointed just after the race when I thought I had finished fourth but there was some issue with Max".

"This is bulshitt. Sorry. This sucks."
"Shame on you FIA."
