These things are held up by six sets of triple coil springs (big one, smaller one, even smaller one inside eachother), you learn not to f*ck with them.
The last one I bought of ebay, about ten years ago, I still have. Because it never worked in the first place..£4.50 Aliexpress foam gun.... See how long it lasts

Nice! Did you do it yourself or send it to Zedonist for fitting? Curious how easy it wasFinally got round to fitting the Zedonist Angel eyes into rebuilt headlamps, the Sonar ones shown in my avatar were ok but just a bit too much bling for me.

Thanks so much for the detailed response ! I am thinking of trying it myself in the summer perhaps, but also my driver headlight has started to yellow since I have a facelift lenses... so your idea of replacing that with glass is also a good idea to be combined in one go...I did them myself using a heat gun, you can see the sealant melting as you play the heat on it, not very difficult. Initially I thought they would go in front of the lenses so took the front cover off but wasn’t keen on that look so took the back cover off and put them behind the lenses. Zedonist suggests that this is the more professional look and I agree. In all I separated four headlights front and back to end up with the best overall lights, two were missing fixing tabs and I wanted to use real glass lenses from the pre facelift lights I bought. I wouldn’t be put off from doing it again so can’t have been so hard.
Many years ago I used the oven method and ended up with a ruined miss-shaped light due to the open flame in the oven.
